It was so much fun!!
We celebrated our 21st Annual Avon Community Heritage Festival on September 28, 2019. The ACHF Board works with the community to bring people of all ages and diversity together to celebrate Avon. In case you missed the festivities, the parade started at Kingsway Christian Church and the festival began at Washington Township Park from 11 am to 4 pm. We were so excited to have part of the Marching Black & Gold drum line join us at the parade this year! At the festival, Adamson Karate Avon was teaching moves, Rebel Fitness was leading Zumba and yoga and we also enjoyed lively, show stopping performances from the Avon Gold Dance Team, Avon Aerial Orioles, Avon Accents Show Choir and The Biz. |
This year, we had 12 contestants perform and 3 of them took home prize money! 1st place went to Alanna Porter, 2nd place to Robert Porter and in 3rd, Jynesis Chandler. We are proud of our children having the courage to share their talents with the community and we give special thanks to our celebrity judges; Debbie Montgomery who is the Department Chair of Area 31 Career Center, Kyle Barker who is the Choral Director at Carmel High School and Tracy Whetstone who is the Community Outreach Manager at Visit Hendricks County.
We enjoyed the "After Dark" concert from 6 pm to 9 pm at the lower level by the Pavillion Center. Pom Teddy was absolutely entertaining and the night ended with spectacular fireworks!!

Each year, the Avon Community Heritage Festival is a success with the help of sponsors and volunteers. Check here to see who our Special Partners of the festival are. We are especially thankful for our major sponsors; Town of Avon, Washington Township Parks and Recreation and Hendricks Regional Health.
All ACHF volunteers and sponsors are people and businesses in our community that are helping us with our mission; bringing the community together. It's good to take time to enjoy one another!! We hope you'll join us for the Tree Lighting on December 7th at Avon Town Hall!!
